Hi folks ,
can anyone help.?
I've got a mac pro. running tiger, using my machine for music so i installed
all my audio related stuff on a second s ata drive in bay 2.
Its been running great up until recently .
it's taken longer and longer for my machine to boot up.
this morning i turned my mac on , and it has stopped recognizing the second sata drive, { ie it doesn't show up on my desktop.
or anywhere else for that matter. the s a t a is a seagate barracuda 1tb,
and has worked perfectly until now.

has anyone else had a similar experience, or can someone offer some solutions,
thanks in advance.

newbie.

Well, on the surface, it doesn't sound good for that drive.

Try running Disk Utility First Aid on it - I'm betting it'll find (and hopefully fix) some problems on it.

If you don't have a backup of the data on that drive, now is the time.

I hope I'm wrong, but the symptoms are those of a dying hard drive.
