Seems like i'm not the only one with this problem.
I'm trying to connect from mac X 10.5.4 to WIN XP pro machine.
I've tried all the obvious - I have a guest account, I have other accounts with passwords on all (this in the WIN machine). I am absolutely sure I've typed the usernames and passwords correctly. I even switched away from "simple share" on windows. I made sure the sharing is correct on WIN.
I can ping the machine from my mac but cannot connect.
I get either error messages about no permissions, or cannot log in, or cannot mount the drive. I've tried every which way possible. Logging under my account in WIN or as a guest.
Before 10.5.2 (I think that's what caused the problem) I had no problem
whatsoever connecting. Now nothing works.
