Hello,

I am thinking of upgrading the hard drive. What is the maximum size the MacBook will take, and also if I got a 7200rpm would this be ok in it.

Thanks

The largest drive available at present is the WD scorpio 320GB
(might be other makes available at 320GB)This is a 5400 drive
unless you use final cut/rendering id stick with the 5400

Will the MacBook recognise the 320gb drive. I don't want to waste my money if it will only see 250gb

Thanks

Many thanks for all your replies. I did indeed find the long thread. I ordered the 2.2 white macbook yesterday along with an ACD. I did not upgrade anything as Apples prices are very expensive. I have ordered 4gb ram from Play.com (£55.98 and free postage). I will have a look around and get this drive for myself. I'm selling my Aluminium mac to put that towards it. I converted to Mac last year and have not looked back.

Dont worry about asking questions,as for the WD 320GB
it's a great drive the cheapest i found when i bought mine
was £119 inc postage
