For those Macbook 06 13" owners, how long did yours last?

I still have mine performing very well with its first battery and still lasting around 2 hours (which is a miracle itself)

Although considering buying a new Macbook Pro with a GFX to support some games....

same

Mine is still going along pretty well. Decent battery life and the only issues are that it sometimes freezes up if i'm using a flash-heavy program

Im gonna get a new macbook pro this summer when Lion comes out!!!!:D

Perhaps your fan is too dusty?? CPU gets too hot?

What I also love about this is that most 4-5 year old PC (Windows) laptops would be pretty dead and crap if it reaches this age. :D

Thats a possibility- i haven't cleaned it. How would i go about doing that?

If your keyboard is cracked- take it in for Apple to replace the keyboard and in return, the technician would probably give it a quick clean while he is at it.

i had my first one for a year, then it got stolen.

and the second one has lasted a year and 3 months, still running.

Mine was covered by three years Apple care (as a student) and developed an issue with the fans coming on all the time in 2009 just before the Apple care expired. In the end Apple replaced the inverter (flicking screen), the logic board and gave me a new battery even though it wasn't covered under the Apple care (and in the process of doing the repairs gave me a new keyboard and track pad). In all I think the repairs would have cost over £650.

A few years on and I have an issue with wifi dropping (posted this thread yesterday LINKY, but apart from that its still trucking. Though I think come the summer time I'll be looking to get a MBP as I return to graphic design.

What do you mean, how long did it last? It's still going, and aside from a few minor problems and the fact that it's really slow, I'm going to keep right on using it.
