My sister dropped her old MacBook 2007 and I'm trying to help her out. It wouldn't boot into OSX at first, but I swapped out the hard drive and managed to install Lion, but the screen is garbled/pixelated and Oh my eyes they burn.

I was hoping to get some direction here as to what it could be?

Could the video cable be bad? Or maybe the Lcd?

BTW I have a miniDP2hdmi cable on the way to test the onboard graphics.

I attached some photos... And the colorization of the Lion in the install prompt would make a pretty cool t shirt.

That's what a monitor looks like at work when the VGA cable goes bad. Maybe the connection from the logic board to the display is bad?
