Macbook 2010 Displayport to HDMI

Rumor has it that the new Macbook Pro Displayport connections support HDMI video and audio.

Has anyone reading this thread hooked up a 2010 Macbook Pro to an HDTV and gotten both video and audio running through the HDMI cable?

I have a mini Display Port to HDMI adapter on order from monoprice, I'll let you know if it does both video and audio - they are claiming that it will if the MDP does, and AFIAK, the 2010 port does?

This is the email that I just received from Monoprice (I had sent them an email because I couldn't get audio to work with their cable and 2010 MBP):

Hello Josh,

I apologize for the inconvenience, but our cables are 1.1 VESA compliant and do not support audio. You need a 1.2 VESA compliant cable in order to pass audio. We currently do not carry any 1.2 VESA compliant cables. Thank you.

This thread is asking for consumer-verified proof of HDMI audio working. Until then, it is rumor.

The only bit to worry about is that your adapter is VESA 1.2 compatible
