I ordered a MacBook 12 2016 from Amazon, it wasn't specify the keyboard layout and i thought was for my language ( italian ) but it is a UK keyboard

I did not boot the mac, but I guess I can set up language italian keyboard UK
the problem is that I'm not sure if will be sowing that i will hate over time

The price was 1040€ for basic macbook 12 2016, in store basic macbook 12 2017 is 1550€ both tax included
I need it for next week and the only choice is to keep this or buy it full price

Does Apple sell the refurbished 2016 there?

I hate using the wrong keyboard.

They do but are more expensive and take too many days to come here
I don't have enough time, next week I'm not sure if I will be home

Well, three factors to note are that the 2017 MacBook has a MUCH nicer keyboard, it is much faster (with the 2017 m3 about the same speed as the 2016 m5), and it also has hardware 4K 10-bit HEVC decode support. The 2016 supports up to 8-bit in hardware.

Not sure that is worth 500 Euros though.

Wrong keyboard would drive me crazy even if you can remap the layout.

1040€ is an okay price but it's not supergreat. Last month I bought one m5 2016 for 1165€ and another m5 for 1085€.

Did the charger at least come with an EU-plug? I guess they cost a few cents on eBay, but anyway.

Also take into account that the italian resell value probably is taking a small hit because of the UK keyboard.

I did not think about the charger

Actually when I saw that on the back was write in English I call apple and asked them if they could tell me from the serial number if it was an italian macbook.

But they say it is a UK version
