There's so much negative stuff about the new MacBook Pro 2016. If you have one and have no issues and love it, please let us know. Please include which model you have. Thank you!

The positive stuff far outweighs the negative one, its just that the negative voices are much louder.

I have a base 15" model and all is well. Battery is running about 8 to 10 hrs... nice unit....wish it was cheaper, but I could not in any way could pull the ticket for a Windows machine that was much less expensive. Just me I guess!

Love mine. Stock space gray 15" 2.7GHz/512GB/455 model. Screen is beautiful. SSD is incredibly fast. No graphics issues. Love the keyboard. No issues with battery life whatsoever. Perfectly happy.

A large percentage of complaints are from non owners.
Another percentage of complaints are from trolls.
Youtube and other reviews bash pretty much everything, especially high profile products.

But if you look at the majority...it's pretty solidly positive. This is the best machine I've owned. Gave my 2015 15" (too heavy) away to family yesterday. Keeping this machine and my Air is still a great machine I'll keep for a while.

Base 13" TB w/ 512GB.

VERY happy so far. I've had none of the issues mentioned in other threads and reviews.

Today I went 9 straight hours with very light but constant use. I had 28% battery left when I shut it to go home. I think it went into sleep mode twice for just a few minutes each time.

Force touch track pad is great. I'm loving the touch bar and it feels like it's always been there. The keyboard silky smooth. And the screen is amazing.

I am happy with mine for the most part.. It's a fine computer with some meh mixed in..

For as many of the so called haters, there are just as many over the top fans who's judgement / comments can't be trusted either.

Best advise I have for anyone on the fence is to try it out for themselves and see. Apple has a very liberal return policy so they basically have nothing to loose...

I work with two folks who bought them and they like them. One has a 2016 13" and the other has a 2016 15".

I'm guessing all of the horror stories and complaints are from a vocal minority that likes to get everyone riled up.

Same model but silver. Same remarks. No issues. No graphic issues, no time machine issues, no battery issues. Awesome trackpad, screen, speed. I enjoy the touchbar. I'm happy too.

That's a lucky family member, although the difference is only .47 pounds.

base 13" non touch bar and it's awesome! actually everything is new compared to my (s)old 13" Early 2013: the hardware, the display, the touchpad, the keyboard, the size, the weight and as a bonus the "MacBook Pro" sign is back. awesome! i really like it!

I'm not a 2016 MacBook Pro owner, but i have heard some positive things about it, the touch bar doesn't seem as gimmicky as it did when it was first announced. I have a couple of questions to those of you that do own the 2016 MacBook Pro, if this isn't the right thread i'm sorry, but i didn't want to start a new threat just to ask a couple of questions.

1. Is the screen noticeably different to that of a none retina MacBook Pro? (i currently have a 2011 MacBook Pro)
2. Are the SSD's that are in the new MacBook Pro's faster than the fusion drives on the iMac's?

  1. Like night & day
  2. Many many times faster. Fusion drive is, you could say, still a spinner HDD with an SSD cache.

Thank you, i'm currently using a 2011 MacBook Pro and pondering the upgrade, the reason i haven't upgraded yet is because i also use an iPad Pro and a 2012 iMac so i'm deciding if i should wait for next years iMac and just keep my 2011 Pro until it breaks.

Love mine .. 15" 2.9/16/1tb/460 space gray

Only issue I have is a wobbly Touch ID / power button .. Apple Store said I could swap it out when one comes back in stock since all the demo model buttons are solid .. dunno if it is worth the hassle tho

Agree with the above! I have the same configuration and perfectly happy. This is my first Mac and couldn't be more pleased.

Mines not really that solid, but I'm not going to complain. Overtime that buttons will probally loosen up tbh.

Ordered a maxed out 15" and am in heaven. It's amazing that this thing is faster than my (non-retina) iMac I had maxed out when I ordered it (3 years ago or so), and now all that power (plus some) can fit in the size of one of my kids bedtime books.

Bought a 13" tbMBP with 16GB of RAM to replace my 15" rMBP from 2012 and couldn't be happier. I made a topic a while ago to express some positive thoughts of mine because of all the negativity that has surrounded these products from the day they were released and I guess this is one more opportunity to say that it is a joy to use !

I just received my TB 13MBP today - the "base" model. I think it screams quality, but I'm surprised by how distracting the touch bar is at first use. I guess it takes a while to get used to - and if not, I can always return it and buy the non-TB. But sofar I'm positively surprised :)

I am floored by the design and quality of the experience. I felt the same way when I got my 09 and this actually feels like it's 7 years ahead in technology. I have been using a couple PC laptops in between and those who chase specs just don't get why this machine is so special. Exceeding my expectations in most ways. We all have different expectations, and granted I came from the PC world, so take my comments FWIW.

I love mine - 15" base model. No issues, good battery life and just a pleasure to use.

I have the 15" base model too. Fantastic screen, fast and with great build quality. Despite the high price and software issues it's a joy to use.
