With the MacBook, you can only connect one display to the USB-C port unless you are using Windows (Windows supports MST for multiple displays while macOS does not).

If you want to connect more than one display in macOS to the MacBook, then the second display has to be something like a USB DisplayLink adapter which is not great for video or gaming but good enough for web browsing. The website has a list of many products.

Maybe you can find a USB-C dock with a DisplayPort output connected to your MacBook's GPU through the USB-C port (using USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode as the source), and a DisplayPort output provided by a built-in DisplayLink adapter.

Basically, you don't want a dock that only uses DisplayLink unless you chain it to another USB-C dock that uses the DisplayPort Alt Mode of the USB-C port.
