Nice try, but no cigar. Too far out from WWDC for it to have even a small shed of credibility. If Apple was to announce it, it'd be during WWDC, not way after.

OP did say release date, not announce date.

Trot out the preview for the new look iOS and MacOS at WWDC on the updated hardware, release said hardware (Macbook/Ipad) a week later.

Not out of the realm of possibility.

This is what normally happens. They rarely say the new hardware is available right there and then.
