I normally don't take the time to write these things...

And I'm not going to start. I just wanted to comment on how phenomenal the speakers are on this brand new Macbook. They really are exceptional for laptop speakers or really any speakers. The sound they produce is amazing and it is the most surprising and unexpected characteristic of this laptop.

That is all. : )

Totally Totally agree - they are fantastic!!!!!!!!!! Same with my iPhone X - I tend to walk around my house simply listening to the built in speakers of the iPhone. When I was a shortie, I'd spend thousands on hifi - what a waste - now it's MacBook and iPhone and do you know, I've never bought so much music :) Perfect for my travels too!

The speakers are amazingly loud and crisp, considering the physical envelope within which the engineers were working. Louder and better fidelity than, say, my 2015 rMBP.

It's surprising to see how much Apple have stepped up their speaker game. Fantastic speakers on the MacBooks and MacBook Pros that outclass any other laptop speakers in the market.

The same goes with the iPad Pros with the quad speakers, now they're something real special.

I'll admit the iPad Pro speakers are really nice...

For a tablet.

However, I wouldn't say they are phenomenal sound quality. They are around the quality of the 2017 iMac 21.5" speakers, but not as nice as say a Beats Pill or something like that.

The iPad Pro 2017 speakers are very nice for casual listening when abroad. I can't register finer frequencies through them. I do, sometimes, push the audio from iPad through an old Sansui receiver ('76) with new Polk speakers, and the audio then is phenomenal--crisp, dynamic range, powerful.
