Mac friends, I'm in the market for an SSD for my Macbook Aluminum (5,1). I listened to you guys for advice on the memory, and that turned out so well, that I've decided to come back for more!

I wanted to squeeze a little more out of this computer by going to a SSD. My local computer store seems to have a large section of 6Gb/s SSD but no 3Gb/s! Has anyone had any luck with getting a 6Gb/s to work on these laptops? If so, What drive are you using?

Watch places like Fatwallet and Slickdeals. Deals are posted daily. Prices are dropping on SSD's. You can get a good one for around 100 bucks or less now. I stick with Crucial, Samsung, or Intel for reliability but that is a personal preference.

And yes, a 6bs will work in a 3gbs
