hello guys,i have macbook a1342 want to reset it but when i am trying to hold command+r or command+alt+r nothing happening, when i hold option key it show me just hdd, there is no disk utilitty, i want to reset system, there is 10.8.5 os installed , any1 got solution for this? sorry for my bad english hope u can undestand what i want to say , thank you for replay
 
If there is a recovery image on the drive, just pressing ALT on the keyboard when you hear the machine make the iconic startup sound, will give you an option to reinstall.

Otherwise you will need a CD or an Image to install from. There are plenty of articles about that here.

thank you for replay, there is no recovery image, and i have not any cd or image, can i use internet to reinstall system and reset hdd? for me does not metter which version of os will be install , just want to reset hdd, want to reset it cos i create 2 user and then deleted 1 user, now when i check hdd it show me that my user got 32gb free space, but notebook got 250 gb hdd, as i see i missing 218 gb or something like that
 
just fixed my problem ,made bootable usb and install fresh system, that allow me to full reset hdd
