MacBook adapter caught on fire

My Mac adapter caught on fire and the warranty ended. It's the newer one. Will they replace it?

My guess would be that they will want you to send it in for evaluation to determine what had happen (is it owner neglect, etc) and if they will cover it.

Apple is very good about safety issues. I'm sure they will take care of you.

Turns out I had an old l shape adapter so they gave the newer updated one free of charge.
