Those are all beautiful, but the fact that one side is exposed is a dealbreaker. There's no way I'm putting that in my backpack with the ports exposed like that. I just wish those manufacturers made a full lip to fully enclose the MBA.
For now, the only choice seems to be Incase's offerings. I have the same issue with iPad sleeves, which are designed very similarly to MBAs.

I second that, I wouldn't want to have any ports exposed while in a backpack... also I tend to carry my mba in the incase sleeve (pictured in your post) all by itself (yes I know) so for me having one side exposed would double the changes it would slide and fall to the ground :eek::eek:

As for the original post, there are plenty of sleeves and cases out there... most of them will fit perfectly while some will be either too snug or have too much wiggle room. I tested a number from incase, speck products, and Lacie (although lacie is no longer available) ... I'd say if you have some computer stores around you and time go and feel them out... I'd also try something that might be similar in size (but test it in person) from brands that don't even advertise their product is made for either of the mbas. I remember couple of months ago finding one at Target that fit perfectly, but I didn't pick it because it was some unknown to me brand... and I guess I'm a snob :)

I ordered a brenthaven case for my GFs 11" mba and the same brenthaven case for my 13" mba (swapped out for the incase sleeve)... 11" fits awesomely, while the 13" even though advertised for mba was really made for the 13" mbp. I like the brenthaven case in particular because of the side zipper for a usb stick, and the hard to notice handle located on the size (which allows you to carry it without the worry of dropping it)

I love using the Sleevz by RadTech for that ultra-thin form factor. I take good care of it so I don't need too much protection.. To bad that big logo is on the front. You don't need a strap because of the tight and form fitting fit.

I like the Brenthaven 11 sleeve, but these could use a stretch gusset in the semi-concealed handle. Case would look nicer when carried by being less scrunched by the hand insertion into the unyielding strap that the handle is made from.
