The MacBook Air 13in is on sale at Bestbuy for $150 off ($849). Even better if you have a student discount you can get it for $749. I actually had purchased the 11in one last week at Apple with a educators discount for exact same price of $849 so I was able to return mine. I tried to get Apple to Price match but they said they could only price match up to 10% ($99) and since this was $150 they couldn't.

How do you get a student discount at best buy? Is it only for college students?

Yes, only for college students currently enrolled.

Yeah I saw that. Was thinking to get one and resell it for profit but the 9.5% sales tax here kills the deal. No room for profit.

This is a very good price. Best price I saw lately here, in Europe is/was $990.

Yes it's a pretty good deal. I was waiting for the annual Apple back to school sale which usually starts around July 1st but haven't heard anything. But, I don't think even if they have a back to school sale that they will beat this price, maybe match it with a discount and a Apple Store gift card but not beat it.

I also got one for 849 today. But it's the base model, 1.6/4gb/128. Was 920 after tax.

Educational discount is for anyone (student, faculty, staff) with an .edu email address.
