macbook air 15'' or macbook pro 16''?

as the title says which one would you guys pic? brand new air for the retail price or a pre-owned base mbp 16 for 1300?

It really depends on all you plan to do with your laptop. Obviously, the base MBP 16 is far superior than the Air and a better bargain if they're the same price.

The Air is 1.2 lbs lighter, which is the equivalent of a 12.9” iPad Pro (without case). If you will be traveling a lot and don’t need the extra power, RAM, or SSD the Air may be the better choice. If you are using it mostly on a desk and not traveling, the 16” Pro has a better screen and more base RAM and SSD.
