MacBook Air 15" Trackpad

My trackpad on my 15" air won't open a photo when I double tap with one finger in photos like my iMac and trackpad, have to keep tapping around the trackpad and it finally does, any ideas? both settings are the same on iMac and 15" air trackpads.
Have turned on and off but no diff.

Doing my head in this, can anyone with an air try double tap on a photo In photos?
If I tap then push the trackpad works but not always, have to move around a bit to get the spot?

double tap works fine for me in photos app.
