As I scroll around with the trackpad it makes random clicks. Not a solid click like when it's pressed. It's kind of random, and if I try to touch really lightly I can keep it from making that audible click. Anyone else have this issue? The closest Apple Store is a 200 mile plane ride away, so popping in to have it checked is not a simple thing to do.

Stupid question, but do you have tap-to-click enabled? You can verify this through the System Preferences>Trackpad settings. If you do have it enabled, could you try disabling it and advise if this makes a positive impact?

I tried your suggestion with no joy. I happen to be traveling and have an appointment in store tomorrow. If they confirm an issue, I'll do a send in. Can't give it up on a work trip.

Wow, great visit 11am appt, showed up at 10. Genius took me right in and as soon as he touched the trackpad he told me he could tell it was loose. He then said he thought is was a loose set screw and he'd take it in the back and try and fix it. No more clicking! Glad to know I wasn't imagining a problem.

Really pleased you had a great experience with Apple and that your issue is resolved. :)
