Hi. I'm having a weird issue with my Intel MBA (2020) that I've been facing pretty much since Monterey.

When I'm on a FaceTime call, I notice the green LED light in the top bezel keeps turning off and then back on again. When it does, the image of myself in the bottom corner of the FaceTime window turns black momentarily. It does this multiple times throughout the call.

It usually happens if I'm doing something else on the computer whilst FaceTiming (note taking etc) but I've also noticed it when I'm just in the app and nothing else is running.

I don't have this issue on the Mac mini though that uses a 3rd party Logitech external web cam.

Is anyone else having this issue? I've browsed the net and found only one post on Reddit about it from someone else, but it had no replies.

Maybe run built-in diagnostics (press D during start up). Then reset SMC. Followed by a clean re-installation of the OS if needed.

Thank you. For some reason I didn't think to reset the SMC. I'll do that and report back if it's still happening.
