Looking for the exact same thing. Following!Help me find a 2020 M1 A2337 Macbook Air Hardshell Case that FITS nicely with this new body style. Everything I have tried so far does not fit or the bottom case stops the screen from opening/extending all the way back. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated!
I can also personally attest to this. I’ve been using the Incase brand “dots” case in clear for all my MacBooks I’ve owned since 2015. The fit and finish is great and the company has stellar customer service.I got the Incase for my M1 Air which fits very well, I did have an old cheapo case from my 2018 Air which did not fit because I think the shape is very slightly different.
Anyway I am very pleased with it, clips on well (6 clips on the bottom piece, 5 on the top piece), fits perfectly, has a slightly textured surface, opens more than 90 degrees without catching etc, which the cheapo one did not do on the old Air.
Apple sell it here: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/...for-macbook-air-with-retina-display-dots-2020 but I found it slightly cheaper on Amazon.
To be honest slightly more than I was hoping to spend but after having tried it I feel it's well worth it.
Thank you guys. Just purchased this case after trying all the amazon ones. Waste of time. Let's see if Incase works. Will report back next week.I can attest to this being a great case! I have it on my old MBP. However, with my new MBA M1, I purchased AC+, so I am going to take my chances
Looks nice, how much was it? Snap on? How much does thickness/heaviness increase? I love fabric cases... but don't want to cover up my beautiful gold!I got a Incase Woolenex Hard-shell for my MBA 9,1. Absolutely love it.
It was 69.99 but I had some gift cards from Christmas, so for me it was 32$. Its pretty lightweight and it snaps on easily. It adds a little bit to the thickness but its not much.Looks nice, how much was it? Snap on? How much does thickness/heaviness increase? Went with Incase and it fit. Case closed. Forget the Amazon ones guys.I can attest to this being a great case! I have it on my old MBP. However, with my new MBA M1, I purchased AC+, so I am going to take my chances
I did go with Incase (ordered from Apple) and I'm returning it today. The bottom section pops open at the back every time I lift the lid fully. It's due to the back of the top section hitting the bottom section. It does fit nicely as long as the MBA is closed.Went with Incase and it fit. Case closed. Forget the Amazon ones guys.
Incase updated the Air hard shells to fit the bottom better. I would consider Incase they have have been great for me.Bump.
Are there any better options available? I bought a case from Amazon that states that it fits on the Air M1 but the bottom case doesn't fully seat, there are some gaps towards the back. I am looking for something that fits nice and flush with everything.
There was a version for the 2019 Air which is slightly different than the 2020 Intel/M1 Airs. The updated versions work on both versions of the 2020's. I am currently using a clear on both and they fit perfectly unlike the previous version which was almost perfectly but a little goofy at the bottom.I was looking at the Incase reviews on Amazon and people report the bottom part doesn't fit well. Hmm, I am confused. I wonder if there are 2 versions of the case, one for the Air Retina and one for the Air M1. From what I found online, I think the Air M1 is slightly different than the former Air Retina and that is the reason the bottom parts don't fit perfectly.
