my first move is always the same: call kyle at e-tech parts or their sister company Mission Repair. If they don't have the parts then no one does. And if they say they can't fix it, then that's your signal to not even try.
Let me tell you a secret... The LCD is built into the casing. I know people have said similar things about the iPhone and iPad, and it turns out that they could be removed carefully with a little heat and some razors... This is not the case here. The LCD truly is unseparable from the frame.
Even if it were possible to replace the LCD, it would be nothing short of a nightmare. You would never find the LCD because it simply doesn't exist- the LCD and bezel/back/lid/case/frame whatever you call it is all one part. To install a new LCD without changing the frame would require layering all those sheets of film, diffusers, plates and light guides and to finish it off, 3M 9703 conductive tape needs to be applied to connect the backlight... Do you know how to use that? Didn't think so. 😛
You simply have to replace the entire display.
