Ah OK The thread is about the Air so I assumed that was what you were referring to. The 256 and 512 Minis do both have 8 GPU cores, unlike the Air.

I can understand no CPU for Air, but not for Pro...its more powerful. The lack of upgrade just sends home Apple must know "in advance" that's all the power a user will ever need.

(...No idea how they could come to that conclusion.)

Read the specs, a lot of hardware is better than what comes with the air.

More that the fan is what will enable better performance in the pro. That and the Touch Bar.

Not just power users but anyone with a few good old usb-a cables or wanting to attach something like hdmi, dongle or dock it is.

Looks like both MBA and MBP have same display, SOC (except the GPU), RAM, USB/TB ports, and storage. MBP has better battery life and the touch bar, but IMO that's not worth an extra $300. Disappointed in the MBP upgrade, especially the max 16gb RAM, but the MBA seems like a good value for money.

I am disappoint to. Who needs much faster processors and much better battery life? Call that an upgrade?? NOBODY asked for that! What they smoking???
