I just got a used macbook air 2014 last week and when i got it the battery was around 175 cycles.
Its covered in warranty until June.

So i just noticed today that the battery of my macbook air is going over its design capacity.
I tried searching it on the internet but the closest thing i could find was articles about the new ipad.

So my question is: Is this sign of a faulty or dying battery? Can i get it replaced at an apple store? Thanks.

No, that's a good sign 🙂

Many batteries in excellent condition hold a tiny bit more than the official capacity. This is due to normal variations in the manufacturing process. You have nothing to worry about.
