I like the Grid it by Cocoon. It is lightweight, holds all kinds of things and fits into another bag, etc, if needed. One thing it comes with a strong odor that you need to let air out first. After that it works like a champ. It is $50 which some may feel a bit pricy but if you look at the sleeve and the grid it section, it is worth the price. Here is the link for the 13 inch one. There is also one for the 11 inch and the ipad as well.

Patagonia's Daily Grind is a super lightweight messenger bag. A fifteen is a squeeze. No problem for a 13 or 11 MBA. Good for books and stuff, along with computer.

i got this one at the apple store the day i got my 13"...works great. spill proof, and it has some protection as it has some hard inserts in the shell.

Acme Made's Skinny Sleeve for the MacBook Air uses a unique stretch-stitch seam to allow for ultra-thin fully padded protection. There's also a sewn-in guard on both sides. The stylish elastic band ensures that your MacBook Air stays securely inside the sleeve.

  • Ultra-thin design won't add bulk to your bag
  • Unique neoprene resists both water and stains
  • Stylish elastic band secures the MacBook Air
  • Sewn-in reinforcement on both sides
  • Designed for 13-inch MacBook Air

I've gotten my Pack & Smooch sleeve now. Really nice and it is a snug fit. It won't fall out of the pocket by itself.

Did anyone wonder anything about it?

yes. I am really interested!
Do you think it would be possible to have a Speck See through case on the air and still get in?
And I was wondering if it offers enough protection to just throw it into a bagpack with books and stuff!

I would say it will be hard to get anything else in. It is wool though, so it will stretch out with time. It will be a hard fit at the start though, right now it is snug just with the Air.

I would say it offers enough protection. The felt is pretty thick. I would dare to throw mine in a bag/backpack as long as its not enough room in there for stuff to move around too much.
