Hi,

Trying to run the diagnostics on an Intel MBA. I can start the process, but whatever I do I can't get past the Wifi selection screen. Typing in a known good Wifi password doesn't work, neither does trying a iPhone hotspot. What should it do after this stage? The 'globe' just sits there spinning with the SSID list.

If anyone can shed any light or advise I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Neil.

Hi,

Just to follow up on this one (sorry for the delay):

Thanks for the suggestions above, I followed the guide, but no change with the diagnostics connecting to my Wi-Fi network. I tried it at my parent's house and it connected fine. So, it doesn't like something about my home Wi-Fi network. It's weird as the MBA in normal operation connects to the home network no problem. It just resolutely refuses to when starting the diagnostics.

I ran the diagnostics whilst at my parent's house, so don't need to do that again (at least not yet), but it's strange why it won't run on a known 'good' network.

Neil.

Having the exact same problem with MacBook Air [Intel] 2020. After clicking on “I Agree” the choose a Language and Apple Diagnostics test does not load at all. Clicking on ‘Restart” and “Shutdown” buttons does nothing. The only way to restart my MacBook Air is to press the power button on the keyboard.
