I have a late 2010 MacBook Air

The Cmd and 0 (number 0) keys are not working properly. When I enter the keys, other key squences are input.

For example when I type 0 the key either triggers the Fn key for volume up or down or a sequence like 0p/ is the output.

However when I switch on the caps key, i could use the cmd and 0 keys as per normal but the other keys are in caps which is not productive to type with.

Solutions tried
I have reset the modifier keys to default.

I couldn't do pram reset because the cmd don't work for me

Chances are your battery has started to swell and is pushing against these sensitive components. Open it up and see.

I had a swelling battery which I replaced with a new one.

I removed the new battery to check for any leaks to the keyboard but the keyboard looks fine. How can I tell if the keyboard is bad?
