I came down to post Ahead. Yeah, You lost 500Mhz of cpu base speed and half of your ram size. I would be so upset.

8GB is good for a machine for your daughter. why has he stolen half of it?

What a shame he used an older lesser logic board.

You also went backwards in CPU. You essentially had a 1.8Ghz base speed Broadwell that was built on 14nm manufacturing process, and you’ve gone backwards to Haswell built on 22nm manufacturing process Running with a 1.3Ghz base.

Thanks, I will definitely leave a review on google but I’ve gone further about it now as I’ve got the MacBook back but it’s useless.

I would buy a new logic board on eBay an just install it your self. You could even go for an upgraded model. Maybe an i7 with 8GB of ram.

i think if he was able to do he would have done it already. Not everyone wants to tackle something like this. It would be like telling people buy 30 dollars in oil and oil filter and the change the oil in the car yourself.
