Could you test how it works via Thunderbolt 3 external monitor if you have one? A YouTuber who showed it none of the M1 Macs were able to work via Thunderbolt 3 without serious jitters/lag

I have a HDMI to USB C lead, I can feed that to my 4K screen?
That should work regardless, the problem seems to be specifically USB C to USB C (Thunderbolt 3)
That YouTuber managed to get it working via HDMI, but I’m curious as to why it doesn’t work via Thunderbolt

Thanks for that. The MBA and MBP look smooth. Don't know whats happening with the mac mini DP
You must have skimmed through that part because the MacBooks had the same problem, none of them worked via Thunderbolt, but they all worked when he switched to HDMI

could a driver issue with that specific monitor. Apple said it would work on the XDR monitor and thats TB3 as well

Mine just arrived as well. It surprised me that it switched on by itself as I lifted the lid (coming from a 2011 MB, maybe thats normal, idk). Unfortunately I have to work for the rest of the day o_O

Yeah, I didn't like that at first but I've gotten used to it.

Also, until Big Sur, a short press of the power button did nothing once the laptop was on, but now it locks the screen. Much better.
