Well, last saturday I bought 2 MBA M1’s in the local premium reseller store. A spacegrey one and a gold one for my wife.

Maybe something isn’t right with the golden one.

At the same place on our wooden table, the gold one is wobbling at the left front when the screen is closed. When the screen is open, there’s nothing wrong. But the spacegrey MBA doen’t have the wobble at all.

But if I place the MBA’s on our glass table, they both don’t wobble at all.

What is wrong here?

I read that this wobble-problem is a common thing, there are a lot of topics about this.

Do I have to worry? In the store I tried some other MBA’s and some of them do wobble too.

I also read that some of the wobbling goes away by itself after some weeks of usage.

There might be uneven feet or something. Since M1 MBA has no moving parts aside from hinge, you shouldn’t need to worry about wobbling that much.

Place the one that wobbles on the glass table. Try to slide a very thin piece of paper underneath the laptop at the bottom corners. Does the paper go under any of the rubber feet?

I recently bought two M1 MBA from Costco. One of them has a front right foot that doesn't make contact with the surface the laptop is on when it's open or closed. The other one is perfectly fine. Returning the wobbler and have already ordered its replacement. Don't know how or why it would pass any sort of reasonable QC checks at the factory.

Honestly, this is the main reason why I returned my MBA last year and got the MBPro instead. I tried to stick it out with loosening screws on the undercover. It helped mitigate it and thank goodness I actually had the tools. But it lessened the quality for me. Had it been solid from day one like our 2019 MBA, I would have stuck with it.

So you are saying not to return the MBA and it’s perfectly fine this way?

If I place the MBA on my kitchen, it doesn’t wobble and I can’t stick any paper under any of the 4 rubber feet.

My main concern is one MBA doesn’t wobble and on the same spot on the wooden table the other one does.

If I place them both on the kitchen or a glass table, they both don’t wobble.

So is there something wrong you think with the MBA that wobbles on the wooden table?

On Google I read so many posts about wobbling MBA’s… I think it happens more than we all know (?).

Did you get your replacement and how is that one?

Umm, I read a bit of other comments, and I think if you are going to use it on a variety of surfaces, it is good to get a not wobbling MacBook Air so that you get a better experience.
