Does the latest version of the MBA Midnight color still have issues with fingerprints?

I really like this color, but wasn't sure if this was still a problem? Or am I making a big deal about nothing.

Much ado about nothing. Do you wash your car several times a day, as well as checking and removing fingerprints any time they are seen on the car?

Get your perspective in line.

It is a very nice, my favourite out of the 4 MBA colours but fingerprints still build up on it, literally when unboxing it from reviews I've seen. In the Apple store, they have fingerprint marks. They can be wiped off easily of course but it’s annoying, so i just played it safe and got boring but reliable Silver.

The shell... Yes but surprisingly not the keyboard or trackpad etc.
To combat the shell I have a hard shell case added. Cheap to purchase and easy to put on/off.

What hard case do do you suggest?
I got this one:- MOSISO Compatible with MacBook Air 15 inch Case 100% Official Color Match 2026-2023 M5 M4 M3 M2, Ultra Thin Case&KeyboardSkin&ScreenFilm for A3448 A3241 A3114 A2941, Midnight Clear https://amzn.eu/d/06LyOIvF
Has the added benefit of a keyboard & screen protector. All fit great.

My midnight M5 Air gets smudges and fingerprints, but it doesn't bother me in the least. I didn't buy it for vanity; I bought it to get stuff done. Besides, smudges can be wiped off. So if you're OCD, just get a polishing cloth and wipe the smudges off. Easy peasy.

I’ve used the latest Midnight MBA — fingerprints are still noticeable, but definitely improved vs earlier versions. It’s more of a light smudge than heavy marks now. If you don’t mind wiping occasionally, the color is absolutely worth it.
