Infact the DVD drive of one of my iMacs broke in November. I wanted to see how important optical drives are to me and within 4 days I had to run out and buy an external drive.
I don't live in an area with fast internet, recently I bought GTAIV on Steam, at 15gb it took 2 days worth of downloading. Without an optical drive that's the alternative... computers being left on overnight just to download.
Several hours ago. And before that yesterday, and before that just after New Years when I burned a DVD9 full of RAW photos I had taken whilst at a relatives house.
