Macbook Air questions

Hi everyone. I would like to ask everyone if the 13" MBA would be good enough to play the Sims 3 and all its expansion packs (obviously I would need the external superdrive). Any help would be great.

Yes, although like all moderately intensive games it will cause the fans to spin up and the chassis to heat up.

I'd also like to ask if I should buy an iPad. I already have a Motorola Xoom Wi-fi that works fine but the wi-fi won't work with my University's wireless network as it doesn't support Android systems. I want to buy an iPad but what annoys me is that it isn't 4G compatible where I live (Australia). I would only go for the wi-fi + 3G/4G version if I were to buy an iPad.
