It's not a recall, it's a software update that tests SSDs for an issue and, should an Air have that issue, fixes it or recommends replacement.

Thanks for the welcome. Im not only new to these forums but I will hopefully be new to Mac's. I have been using PCs for 25 years. I am waiting for the updated MacBook pros with Haswell. I need to upgrade by end of November. So hopefully they will be out by then.

I read the article as Apple is asking you to update software that will check your SSDs. If it shows to be bad then you can get them replaced for free. To me that is a recall. I apologize if that is not the case and I mislead anyone. Articles are now all over the web and calling it a recall.
