The term "retina" should be replaced with the word "decent", then there won't be a problem. Heading into 2016 all Apple computers should come with a decent display.

Hopefully they'll just be getting rid of the term all-together. I would imagine that next year's 21.5" iMac will be all-retina just like the 27" is now, and the Air will probably be EOL'd too. That would mean every Apple computer with a screen is retina, and we can stop using the term. Just like no one refers to an iPhone's screen as "retina" anymore; it's standard.

I just ordered my retina MacBook. And picked up a 27 inch cinema display. Should be fun

How are you going to connect the Cinema Display to the MacBook? I haven't considered the MacBook because I cannot use it with either the Cinema Display nor a Thunderbolt Display either.

I've found a few different options

1st choice is this:
Kanex XD HDMI to Mini Displayport Converter- iMac 27 inch to HDTV https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003LGOWNQ/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_YEbkwb1BZH3GP
Along with the usbC- apple hub/adapter

Also, this may work too http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mult...nnect-Projector-HDTV-Fit-For/32506791028.html
