i woke up this morning to find that my MacBook Air's screen has gone wonky. There's a bright white stripe about 3 inches vertically obscuring my screen. Initially, there was a lot of blurring and flickering around the White, and freaking out, I turned the computer off and on again. When it turned back on the white stripe was still there, but this time the background was black and blurred but it also seemed to have the OS initial startup in the background. A voice told me to choose a language, or hit "return" for English. Then it moved to a screen that I couldn't read because of the white stripe. I have a photo but I'm not sure how much it will help. This computer is under a year old, and I did have problems over the summer with it. I'm a university student right in the middle of midterms and I'm really flustered with everything. If someone can help, I would really appreciate it. I don't want to have to pay an obscene amount of money because my computer is acting up. Again

Does it display the White box during boot?
Yes! It doesn't go away no matter what I've tried. The background behind the white almost looks like water damage...but I keep it in a case constantly far from water. My last resort is to bring it to Apple, because I want to avoid the crowds and traffic but I will if I have to.

Then it's a hardware issue and requires service
