I recently bought a macbook Air 13". I got it from the Refurb store. When I got it I did the Lion update and also copied a large amount of music from my time machine back of an old Macbook. After I did the Lion upgrade I also did the Migration assistant. Fast forward to today I noticed under About this mac / more info it shows I have 21GB of movies? I don't have any movies at all on this thing. I did the terminal thing to show hidden files. I searched for all *.Mov files, there is just not any there? I really want the storage space so it is irritating me.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Movies include many file types, not just .mov files. Search with Finder again, adding to your search criteria:

Search for "Kind" is "Movie" files, as searching for .mov is really restricting the search?

To find out, where you hard drive capacity is being used, you can use the following free applications:
Maybe try a combination of several, if you still can't find the "missing" capacity.
