Hey everyone. My memory was running low and I was getting messages about the scratch disc being full. I made some changes and now I have 67 of 245 GB available. But I'm having issues opening and resizing large (400 MG) Tiff files, and I'm also having issues exporting files as JPEG with Photoshop. These two problems started yesterday, after I had made the changes and freed up storage on my computer. Any suggestions on what to do? Here's my system info.

In my experience when one of these peculiarities pops up for a user, the first to try in troubleshooting the problem is creating another user in System Settings to see if the issue similarly happens on your new user account.

Well, I think I figured it out. My google drive was also close to full, and as soon as I added more space to my plan everything on my computer became faster and now the issues I described are no longer happening. I don't fully understand that, but anyway now everything seems find.

Happens very often when storage is full. Related to swap and vm management. Basically no free memory left.
