A friend has expressed interested in buying my 2012 Macbook Air 11 inch. It is the 1.7GHz, Intel Core i5, 4GH RAM, 128GB storage. It is in excellent condition overall. I am just getting an updated model. I still have the original box as well. I just wasn't sure what to ask for it, so any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would pay $500 or $600 for that, assuming I was hunting for one. It's kinda overshadowed by the newer models, but it's still quite powerful for its age.

The best way to price it is to check eBay and Craig's list to see what similar machines like yours are selling for. If it's a friend who wants to buy it, then you might want to compromise the price somewhat.

Are we talking US dollars? $600 seems a bit high for a 2012 to me, considering that Apple sells the refurb 2015 11" i5/4gb/128gb model for $760. The refurbs are like new and have a full 12 month warranty. The 2012 MBA had much worse battery life than the newer models, and the battery is also 3 years old so it will probably need replacing in the next couple years.

After a quick look on ebay I would say prices in US are $450-550, outside of US 575-$750.
