    Is the macbook air worth $420 more. Please look at these specs and tell me what you think?

    No. Apple's 512 upgrade is severly overpriced. Go Air with 256 and a 1TB external HDD. What are the prices then?

    knocks off $270 if go with smaller hd. why is the hd so much to upgrade? The price is closer then, with the air being 150 more. What do you think then?

    I would go for the Air. External HDDs are only around $50 plus it has an SSD already so it will appear faster than the MBP and it probably is more poweeful due to the Haswell processor.

    go for the air. you will be happy. change the configuration to a 256 drive and buy a cheap external..
