Does anyone know how to setup the wireless network on MBA without a ethernet network adapter? I have a Linksys WRT54G connected to a SB1500 cable modem. thanks.

my MBA can see the wireless router but I just can't get the connection. i used to have the wireless network set up for another service provider but since switched to a new one. do I need to change any configuration?

    DHCP might be the problem

I ran into problems with both my Apple TV and MacAir, but MacPro works fine.

Can't remember the model of my Linksys router, but open your nice MacAir and take a lookat the network settings.

For me the DHCP assigned IP address was plain wrong. After changing from DHCP to plain manual, I entered an IP for my Air and also my router's IP as gateway (my router was I was able to get a connect.

The hard part was finding out the DNS Server IP of my provider, but I had my Pro working so this was not an issue.

    Hope this helps

I am using my Air at my apartment in China. Never have been able to get Airport to work with PPPoE, which is what the DSL Internet company uses here. Ethernet does work fine. I can connect fine wirelessly on my GF's Vista laptop.

Maybe a stupid question (I never even heard of PPPoE until a couple of weeks ago and the installer came by), but could this be the issue for you? Do American DSL providers ever use this type of set-up? I have Time Warner back in Texas and haven't encountered this.

i figured it out eventually. I was using a DSL ISP before so the internet connection type was PPPoE. The new ISP is a cable provider so I just need to change the internet connection type to DHCP then release and renew DHCP in the WRT54G setup screen.
