Hoping someone can help here... is it me or is the Thunderbolt Display connections barely long enough to connect the MacBook Air? Especially since the power and the Thunderbolt Display port are on the opposites sides of the Mac? Take a look at the photo, am I doing something wrong here? Is there a way to split the cable further? That plastic thing on the cords doesn't seem to be adjustable.

Kinda surprised that they haven't moved Thunderbolt over to the other side yet.
 
That's how mine is as well. But if it reaches, I'm not sure what the issue is.
 
We have the BookArc stand for our users and the one person who got themselves a TB monitor has a very VERY clean looking setup with the stand. I highly recommend it.
