All,

I have googled and searched and googled and searched to no avail. I've read about problems on the newer aluminum Macbooks where trackpad clicks do NOT register sometimes.

However...

I am having the opposite kind of problem. I can click on object, programs, links, etc. just by softly touching the trackpad, without even clicking it in. I have checked the system preferences to ensure that TAP to CLICK was NOT checked, but it still acts the same.

I don't remember changing anything and it just recently started happening. I have also reset the SMC per the directions on the mac resources page.

Any ideas?? HELP?

thanks in advance!

Have you tried restarting the system? Or maybe you can restore the OS.

But I've never heard of a problem like that before, that's pretty odd.
