Thank you! I noticed "television gamma" is not under Display Profile on Lion, right now I have "Color LCD" selected. I'm guessing Lion may have defaulted my monitor on the best profile for my screen, but I'm still curious if that's the case.

Hooking up macbook to a HDTV, help please

I want to enable hooking my 2008 model up to a HDTV. I have looked on the internet and there is confusion over which cable will support both audio and video. Would I be correct in thinking I need Mini Displayport (male v1.1) + USB (male 2.0) to HDMI (female v1.3b)? Is this the product to buy? Please advise as I'd quite like to make the purchase. Thanks in advance.

I consider most Core2Duo-based systems to be excellent deals right now. The C2D is still a solid performer but yet antiquated enough to be reasonably priced.

Picked up a few MacBook CEs the other day for some friends that don't have a lot of money. Upgraded them to 8GB of ram and decent HDDs and they are SOLID performers...and the new owners are very happy!

Indeed, I plan to replace my 2010 base model 13" MBP with something new this summer, but I'm not sure I should, as the machine is just as fast as the current gen for most tasks and the battery still lasts 7 hours
