MacBook and line in

Hello, I have a C2D MacBook and would like to record sound using a mic. I have a mixer with a "Tape out" which I suppose outputs a line level signal.

The documentation was not 100% clear to me -- I assume that it's safe to connect this output to the sound input of the MacBook, correct? I wouldn't like to melt the motherboard or anything...
