Macbook as an external display

Hello everyone, the question seem weird, but i want to use the rMacbook 2016 as an external display with an 5k iMac.

Like that i can have a dual display setup when i'm in my office, the iMac as main screen and the rMacbook as the second screen.

I've an usb c to usb a cable and the Apple mini hub (usb c to hdmi / usb a / usb c)

Nope. You can't use any portables in Target Display Mode.

You can't even use the new Retina iMacs in TDM either.

You would need some sort of network-based software solution. Mac portables won't accept incoming display signals.

Do you have an iPad? If so, buy Duet Display. You can use your iPad as a second display for your mac. It's pretty awesome.

Yes i'm doing this, but the screen is little 😉 But very good app !
