So, Macbook is 2008 model and the backlight has gone crazy. Sometimes it works just fine, I can boot the machine like there is no problem. Sometimes the machine starts to boot but the backlight might shut off during loading or after a while when in OS. Picture can be seen faintly. If I shut the display lid and then open it the (atleast for now) comes back.
Cable gone bad? Similar experiences?
After I noticed this I just put the Macbook aside and switched to my PC laptop which still works (also from 2008).
Now I thought maybe I should check this MB and try to fix it.
