So many great bags......it's impossible!

Any way, finally went for:

How much was that bag? And is it waterproof? It looks nice, but I only do waterproof/resistant bags.

Don't be angry, I know there are 729,678 threads on bags for Macbooks (13.3"), but I still can't find the right one.

The closest I've seen to the one I want is the Tech Air Messenger Case....

....but I'd prefer a zip top to the bag rather than the flap-over thingie that sticks to the velcro (very technical description, that).

Has any one bought something similar to this, ie with a nice safe snuggly compartment for the Macbook, lots of other pockets and compartments for other bits and pieces, and one that looks more like a casual shoulder bag than a briefcase?

I just bought a beautiful one from the leather ranch in calgary it was on sale so I got it for just a little over 450 dollars. I'm very happy with it.

I went for the medium Boomer which fits the 13.3" MacBook - it was E50 ($74)

Sounds like it's waterproof: "1000D Chickentex Supreme™ hyper performance accessory fabric with waterproof ripstop lining, adjustable shoulder strap, well integrated back handle, Prince Charls Protective Seal, large front slip pocket, fully padded separate laptop pouch, internal mesh pocket."

You'll get more info and pics here

I really like that. The design and color possibilities are nice too. I may pick one up in a month or 2.

this is a great thread.

i've looked through many of the bags, but it is hard to conceptualize some of their sizes. i just ordered a black macbook and expect to get it on monday. i am a law student and so i frequently have to carry large books between classes. does anyone have specific recommendations on messenger bags large enough to carry the MB and large books?

I have the incase sling and i really like it. They make a large one now that will fit up to a 17 MBP.
