Hi,

My macbook says it has a full battery when I turn it on, but after a about 5min my macbook shuts down and one of the little green lights on the battery flashes. When I plug my macbook back into the power adapter it powers right back up.

Do I need a new battery?

Thanks!

Sounds like a totally dead battery, yes. You can check it's condition using either Coconut Battery or in the system profiler.

Thanks, I forgot to mention that if I plug my macbook into the power cord and use it for a bit, when I un-plug the power cord the macbook seems to work fine.
