Macbook cant connect to apple tv

2 iPhones can screen share to my apple tv with no issues

Macbook pro 2013 (big sur) can airplay to tv no issues

Macbook pro 2019 (mojave) was connecting fine for months. Now everytime i connect to the appletv it asks for the 4 digit code displayed on the screen. Enter to code but it fails to connect.

Restarted mac, apple tv, etc. nothing.

Any ideas?
